Muddy Fork
The Muddy Fork is a tributary to the Illinois River, and this particular property is located west of Fayetteville on privately held property. The goal of this project was to stabilize a portion of the bank that was beginning to head-cut due to drainage and years of cattle movement to the stream. For this project we removed the layer silt and gravel from the bedrock and built this project directly on the bedrock. This structure doubles as both a water fall for the storm water that will drain from the landowners property as well as acting as a stairwell for stream access for the landowners.
