Little Rock Air Force Base

Location: 
Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB) is an active military base located approximately 15 miles northeast of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

Importance:
Surface water, impacted by industrial activity on the base, exits the property through outfalls. The purpose of this project was to provide Mitigation for Stream Bank Erosion. 

The Project:
The goals were to alleviate unstable bank conditions and further the establishment of riparian buffers. The services provided by NSS also reduced erosional damage along each of the various outfalls contributing to the watershed.
