Platte Landing ParkThe Parkville Bottoms Ecosystem Restoration sits just Northeast of Kansas City on the banks of the mighty Missouri River. The project created over 8 acres of wetland and 23 acres of tall grass prairie. 1300 native trees were planted to create riparian buffer for the adjacent Rush Creek and 90,000 native plants were installed to jump start the wetland ecosystem. This preserve incorporates a walking trail and will provide recreational value to the public in addition to refuge for migratory birds.
