The Coler project is located on the 260-acre Coler Mountain Bike Preserve less than 2 miles from the square in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The Coler Creek restoration creates an ecological uplift in an urban environment. This contributes to public health and public conservation of natural resources for future generations.
The goal of the project was to restore and stabilize approximately 900 linear feet of the impounded section of Coler Valley Stream. The Natural State Streams team utilized natural channel design and bioengineering techniques to restore the hydrologic, geomorphologic, and ecological function of the site.
